When they say solid, that’s exactly what they meant. This thing is sturdy. Very stable support and aesthetically beautiful. I think it took some 10 minutes to put together. It’s hard to say the pictures match up in terms of color but it’s a dark brown color with highlights of light brown. It matches close enough to the table I was pairing it with.
