This island is just okay. It takes quite a while to assemble, but all the holes aligned and the assembly instructions were thorough. It’s a solid, heavy piece! However, the shelves aren’t strong enough to support my cookbook collection and I had to place pots and pans there instead. The island top is a huge let down. I knew it wasn’t real wood when I purchased it, but they could at least have matched the fake wood grain on the two pieces to make it look better. Very disappointing!!
