The table top is not real marble, but is a good looking faux marble laminate. Seems sturdy. The table came in 2 packages, but did not come with directions for assembly.

I paid a premium for a marble table top and what I received was fabricated plastic faux marble table. The product description indicated it would be marble, so I feel mislead. Will return.
