Super Cheap table. The first shipment of this table the base broke in half. They sent a replacement table- but it feels cheap. My vote is to save up for the real thing!!

I was looking for a side table that had a French countryold world look to it and this was exactly the look. So I bought it with great anticipation and could not wait for it to arrive. However, shortly after opening it, I immediately regretted my purchase and let me tell you why As I was taking it out of the boxes, I thought to myself that both pieces were pretty light for being solid wood, and I would soon find out why. As I was putting it together I noticed it made a squeaking noise similar to when something is rubbed against Styrofoam. I was so confused because the description clearly said both top and pedestal were made of solid wood. MDF would have been okay, but this thing is made of some kind of foam molded into the shape of a pedestal. And the paint Its weird because its made to look like the paint is thick from repeated coats of paint over the ages and is now chipping off in areas, but this stuff comes off in chunks, like some kind of thickener was added to the paint to get that effect. As you can see in my picture, the pedestal already has a couple cracks in it and it wont take much for it to snap in half. So glad Im able to return it immediately and get my money back. This table is a bust! Not even worth the 1 ⭐️ I gave it, to be honest. Do NOT waste your money on this unless youre looking for a high end piece of Styrofoam! So disappointed!

The pedestal table is perfect for where I plan to use it. I am building a French Country house and this is just what I was looking for. Ramona, NC
