UPDATE: I FELL OFF THIS BENCH!!! I asked for a replacement for the wood piece because the wood came WITHOUT predrilled holes to indicate where the legs should be screwed in. Well, since apparently the manufacturer would not send me a replacement for the wood bench, Wayfair said my choice was to accept a 25% partial refund and keep the wood bench; otherwise I might have to ship it back, possibly at my expense. The wood is very HEAVY so I chose to keep the wood and pay a handyman to attach the legs. Well, the handyman attached the legs not sufficiently close enough to the end on the wide side of this irregularly shaped wood. The first time I sat on it to take a shoe off, it DUMPED ME ON THE GROUND! Luckily I was not hurt, just stunned, but I am 78 yrs old and have osteoporosis in my hip, neck and femur and I could have been hurt! I do not recommend this seller, and frankly at this point I do NOT recommend Wayfair! Did anyone think about this issue with a sense of responsibility? The legs need to be placed in a SPECIFIC place to keep it balanced as a seat because the wood is irregularly shaped. Predrilled holes are not just a convenience. They are essential because this is exactly where the balance point needs to be. Otherwise, this bench POSES A RISK OF SAFETY to anyone who sits on it. I hold BOTH the manufacturer AND Wayfair responsible for this dangerous situation! Shame on BOTH of you!
