Extremely surprised by the quality of this daybed. Its very sturdy and looks great. I was hesitant to purchase it because of the piece of metal that they call a mattress retainer, sticking up in the middle. I thought I might like to put a bedskirt on it. Turns out that it is optional and the mattress stays on the bed just fine. Delighted with this purchase.
