The bench is very simple to put together, it is made of solid wood, and feels sturdy. It looks nice enough from a step or two away, but if you look closely at the carvings, they are not very well done. They look unfinished and rough. They actually still have some of the red paint or pen used to mark where they were carved, just a tiny little bit more work and the bench would go from okay to gorgeous.

What a fantastic bench! This is sturdy, heavy, and the designs are intricate and lovely. Assembly was easy, 10 minutes, 1 person, a few screw to put the legs on. What an attractive wondering addition to my space. I would highly recommend this item.
