Look carefully at the photos. The curve extends way behind the back of the seat. You would have to sit at a 45 degree angle to touch it with your back. If you put a pillow behind you it would fall to the floor. Not ergonomic and not particularly aesthetically pleasing.

Perfect, even loved they arent pure black so you can see the wood pattern. Beautiful solid wood. Might even do all 6 like these vs just 4 and 2 ends. Totally recommend these beautiful modern shape on a rustic chair

Obsessed BUT… if you are purchasing “black” be aware that this is more of a black stain and in some lighting could look like a dark brown. They are beautiful nonetheless, easy to assemble, and very roomy! The arched back gives a very deep and relaxed seating. If you are looking for back support: skip on this purchase and look for a more structured backing. I have NO regrets with this purchase and love how it gives contrast and a different shape to our dining room.
