I really liked the look of this Japanese-style bed, which is why I bought it. Unfortunately, it didnt live up to the description. The material is not real wood as advertised, and the color is quite different from the photos.The bed also has sharp corners, and Ive hit my feet on them several times while walking around it. To make matters worse, the top layer on one of the side rails has already started peeling off, as shown in the pictures. I considered trying to glue it back down, but its not really repairable.Overall, Im very disappointed with the quality and durability. I would stay away from this product and would not recommend it

I love the color and the weight, heavy duty support with the wooden lattice to put the mattress on. I had to give it 4 stars because although it shows very low on the floor. I think it’s a little low for myself but not for my husband it’s new so I still need to get accustomed to it. It’s like a Japanese style bed low to the floor. Everyone have their wants and needs.

Definitely more grey than black on the headboard. Doesn’t look terrible just not what we expected. Very easy to put together though.
