My 6-year-old daughter picked this bed because she loved the color and the built-in shelves, and it looks even better in person! I chose the assembly service, and it was totally worth it — everything was done in about an hour, and I just had to add the mattress and sheets. The shelves are super practical for storing small items and books — such a great feature. The bed feels sturdy, well made, and the materials are good quality. We also tried the pull-out trundle with an 8-inch mattress, which fits perfectly. The only small downside is that the trundle isn’t fixed in place, so it can roll a bit if the child moves around, but we managed to secure it easily. Overall, we’re very happy with this bed — my daughter loves it!

My son picked this bed because he liked the daybed with shelves combination. Overall it feels sturdy and looks really nice; better than I expected to be honest. I only wish the shelves were made out of solid wood instead of veneer, but then it would have been more expensive and probably out of my budget. I think it's good quality for the price paid. I usually don't shy away from furniture assembly projects but some of the other reviews made it sound like this one was quite a headache. The professional assembly price was only about $85 and seemed reasonable considering some people said it took them many hours and I don't have a lot of time to spare right now. So I chose professional assembly for the first time. The guy arrived and was done assembling in under an hour - totally worth going with that option!

Came very quick however be ready to purchase a bed that needs to be fully put together. You will also need 2 people to have it done right. Everything to assemble is included but upon purchasing I thought top bed was full size daybed then twin size and make sure you read that mattress is not included.
