The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort. The most time consuming part was simply attaching the bed slats, which was quick with a drill. Some reviews mentioned that the walnut color had a slight reddish cast to it, which is true, but it worked well with my already existing furniture. Well worth the purchase!

We have a motorized bed frame that we keep low due to an aging dog - but the head board “wood” is not as long as it seems, if lower bed and looking for full coverage may not be for you - our pillows still slide behind the headboard - so annoying. My husband put together before I was home so couldn’t return and he did mention needing to make some modifications to put it together

This is a beautiful, sturdy bed. The color matches the dressers in my bedroom perfectly. It's lower than the sleigh bed it replaced, and I couldn't be happier with it. I can get in bed, and not disturb my husband. No squeaking, shaking, etc. as in our other bed. We set this up without a boxspring. It wasn't needed. Perfect for us!

The bedframe arrived with cracked side rail and divot in headboard. This was a pain to unbox, and even after noticing defects I couldn’t imagine getting it all back in the box. Disappointing and a lesson learned. Do not buy.
