All in all it took about a hour to assemble. Directions were easy and it all came in one box. The upholstery is a good quality and the bed is pretty sturdy. Does not feel weak and the footboard gives more support. Great for a bedroom or guest bedroom.

Very time consuming for one person to put together on their own. Fairly easy to follow instructions. Beautiful once put together! Love it.

I spent days comparing platform beds across styles—Japandi and beyond—looking for a specific look solid wood frame in a warm medium walnut with a reddishhoney undertone, at least 48 tall, with a cream headboard. Thats a tough combo to find. When I found this bed, it only had one review (4 stars), but I took a chance. Assembly took me just a tad over 2 hours though thats mostly because I skipped ahead and had to redo a few steps with the wrong screws. Solo, Id estimate 90 minutes if you follow the directions closely—especially the screws for the head and footboards. The instructions themselves are clear and thorough, and many pieces connect almost like Japanese joinery, secured with just a single screw. The frame itself is rock solid—hotel-level sturdy, zero movement. Paired with my new Dreamcloud Premier Hybrid mattress, its exactly what I was picturing. It punches well above its class at this price point!
