This item was packaged well there is some minor damage from being packed to tightly or occurred during shipping. The Bed itself was constructed well and was a breeze to assemble. I took a star off because the pieces that hold the slatts is made out of wood and causes our mattress to stick out above the sides... defeating the purpose of a low profile platform bed. Which means I need to purchase a new mattress that is slimmer maybe 11 instead of 14 memory foam... The sides are not super wide and the piece of wood is really thick since it has to hold the slatts which are secured to a metal frame and the mattress... food for thought. Its still nice and looks great, just be sure to measure your mattress height to make sure itll fit.
