Nice design; sturdy piece. I'll list the Pro's and Con's of the unit: CONS: 1) The instructions (in multiple places) were confusing a) The instructions change between the "front view" of the piece and the "rear view" without notifying you! (Pay Close Attention to each page, and that will help avoid some confusion) b) Step 4 regarding attaching the drawer slides to the mounting brackets on the median panel could be explained better. (Take OUT the inner-most - smallest - rail before continuing) c) Step 13 doesn't make it completely clear that the "B" parts are installed on the INSIDE of the unit on side walls "D" and "C" d) Step 14 indicates to secure the back panel, but no holes are pre-drilled for this. The screws that come with the part "R" are pointed enough to be able to screw them in place without drilling e) Steps 15 & 16 show how to install the Fireplace unit and DO refer you to the fireplace unit installation guide. Be warned there are NO pre-drilled holes for the 6 screws (2 on each side) of the front of the fireplace unit. I used the brackets that are shown in the TV stand instructions and those are holding the fireplace in place just fine. 2) The DRAWER installation is extremely confusing. It seems that no matter how I install the rails on the drawer and the rails on the unit itself, the drawer does not close. The instructions for this need to be VERY much clearer!! 3) Neither of the doors on the sides will line up with the hinges. The hinges are supposed to have a set screw that allows adjustment "in" and "out", but there is not enough movement in the hinge to meet up with the pre-drilled holes. PROS: 1) Very sturdy and fits nicely into the corner, with plenty of room behind to utilize the outlet; 2) The unit was easy to put together (with the exception of those stated above) because of the cam system used for the screws...just be sure to secure the cams correctly into the screw hole and turn until tight; 3) The fireplace w/remote is wonderful. The glass nor the surrounding wood gets hot, so no need to worry about overheating. (Still follow manufacturer suggestions on safe use!!); 4) I got this on sale and it is very much worth the price. I would definitely recommend this to others with the caveat that you will need 2 people AND have someone familiar with instructions with ONLY pictures - no explanation!! (no unusual for any type of dyi these days)
