The legs are painted and nice white that seems Like it will hold up. You have to be a little handy to put the stool together. The description indicates the weight it will hold is 300 lbs but I am wondering if it will hold even less than that for the long run we will see. The grey in the seat is definitely a darker grey so if you are looking for contrast between the legs of the stool and the seat that will Work well. Check the width of the seat before purchasing would be my tip!

Very nice vanity stool. Well made and true to color. Easy to put together. Instructions were pictures only but not hard to comprehend
