I would rate this 3.5 stars if i could, but it is better than 3 stars so i gave it 4. While I am satisfied with this purchase, I bought it for my oldest son who is in college. It doesn’t get used all year and provides great off season storage space. If I had bought this for our master bedroom, the quality would disappoint. You can see in the pictures that there is space is the mitres and and gaps at the drawers. Here though I believe you get what you pay for. If this was a hand made work of art it would be 10x this amount. I do take exception to the wayfair description that this piece is solid wood. The back of the dresser is somewhere between cardboard and hard board. The styling is attractive and the finish is good. If you are going to use this for a younger child, I might recommend a glass top. I am not sure what would happen if a sweaty glass sat directly on the top for several hours. On the good side the dresser was packed beautifully. It was so tight that I basically had to cut the box at the corners and let the box fall away. While this may seem a bit odd, I recommend turning the box upside down (the top will still be protected by the box and the corners are easier to cut away. Overall, it is a good dresser. I wouldn’t place it next to a handmade or antique piece, but for a kids room I think it is perfect.

Dresser arrived with a noticeable stain on the front which wayfair did issue a credit (vs. replacing/returning). Overall, the quality is just okay. On the dresser's top surface, the paint job was mediocre (small holes in the wood and the paint didn't apply) and gaps in the wood at corners where the wood joins.

I am well pleased with myself for this purchase. It took a long time to make a decision. I once swore I would never order a heavy item online again. Credits don't help if you end up with an item that does not work in your space/decor. Also, I live in a very small cottage (< 800 sq ft) so there is no wiggle room. Every choice must be perfect and functional. But I also could not afford furniture store prices. SO, the important stuff for buyers: This is made by Bassett, an old name in furniture. The dove gray is exactly as it appeared on my monitor. It is heavy and seems to be well constructed, especially for this price. The drawers operate smoothly and have good storage space. There is even a leveler/support foot in the center back of the unit. It was also very well packaged with a minimum of styrofoam waste. If you live in a small space, the 19" depth is just the top which 'overhangs' an inch all around. The actual depth is about 18" (people in small spaces know an inch can be a deal breaker). The drawer pulls are quality. The only teeny tiny complaint I have is that they screwed the hardware package into 1 drawer front which leaves a rough spot inside I need to sand. Tape would have been smarter. Delivery was fine and pretty fast. I will say, the unpackaging was tough for me alone because it is connected to a wooden skid-like piece and it IS heavy! I recommend an extra set of hands if available. I am thrilled with this piece and the grey adds a contemporary touch to the shaker style front. It is a simple, classy piece.

This item is nice and as described but is pricey for the quality in my opinion. The drawers are very light and the tracks aren’t as smooth as I expected for the value of the dresser. However Wayfair made it right when the item was delivered broken and was replaced. The item is delivered as a whole piece. It doesn’t need to be assembled. My mom does like it and it has a beautiful color.
