As soon as I opened the box, I was immediately HIT with the reek of mildew! There was a crack in the corner of the top shelf, the crossbars were rusty, there was dirt on the feet, and there was mold on the wood. I have extreme allergies and became itchy because of having to handle the pieces to take pictures, and of course just opening the box activated my asthma. I've never been more unhappy, upset, and disappointed about an order.

I love it. For where I placed it in my bedroom, I needed function over form. This was dead wall space where my husband hung a dyson animal (just don’t….ugh) and his speakers and sub woofer were on the other side. Various this and that’s kept ending up on the floor there like shoes, clothes basket etc and I finally had enough and decided to fix it up and lend some organization to it. It looks a bit cluttered though, so I am going to move the tall lamp and likely add a small lamp or some other type of lighting: the rest has to stay. I added the Joss and Main mirror (LOVE but can’t review it yet since it came this morning) and overall, I am happy with how this look turned out. The sideboard was super easy to put together by myself (tip: don’t tighten all the bolts until everything is on and then you can tighten and everything will pop into place), and I like the look. It’s open, not stuff and is a little something different. I recommend it.

Solid and stable but not very attractive. The wood is painted and stained. It does not look like recycled wood. One of the shelves is chipped showing bright white wood underneath the paint. It did not go together well. One of the attachments fell out so I had to glue it in. The back brace did not fit and could not be affixed. Looks like one of the holes is drilled too high - the metal is seen from the front. I bought 2 shelves and this was true for only one of them.

I give it 2 stars because it’s sturdy, cute and a fun piece…but…Worst assembly instructions ever. Don’t tighten the bolts on the shelves before you install the cross piece in the back or you’ll have to undo it for it to work. Pre drilled holes don’t line up well. Bottom shelf had a split in the wood. I kept it because it was mostly unnoticeable and would be a major pain to return.
