I got this farmhouse sideboard buffet cabinet from Wayfair, and I was thrilled to get my hands on it. The style is exactly what I was hoping for—it has that perfect rustic-meets-modern farmhouse look that really makes a statement in my dining area. The beautiful white finish, contrasted with the faux wood top, is just stunning. Its a genuinely nice-looking piece of furniture. Now, lets talk about the assembly. Right up front, I want to say that putting it together was easy, but it was not fast. The instructions were actually very clear and straightforward, and all the parts were labeled properly, which is always a relief with this kind of furniture. They even include a small screwdriver, which is a nice touch, but you’ll certainly need it because there are tons of hardware pieces and steps involved! Measuring 47.2 inches wide, connecting and securing all the components took about 2 hours. This is absolutely a project you need to set aside a dedicated chunk of time for. But here’s the important part the time spent putting it together pays off because this is a nice solid cabinet. Once it was fully built and tightened, the whole piece felt really sturdy and substantial. It doesnt wobble, and it holds a good amount of weight, which is exactly what you want in a buffet cabinet used for storage. The finished unit looks much more expensive than I anticipated. It’s now perfect for holding all my serving dishes and table linens, and what really helps with organization is that the doors have extra shelves inside—great for storing bottles or various smaller items, maximizing the overall space. The top is also a great spot to set up a coffee station or a food spread when I have guests. Overall, while the assembly process was time-consuming, I’m extremely happy with the final result and the solid quality of the piece. If you have the patience for the build, this cabinet is totally worth it.
