Missing part and the recliner is very hard to close

Very disappointed, purchased only 7 months ago and it is broken in several spots. The wood is cracked or broken in multiple spots. The reclining mechanism cable broke on one side and is fraying on the other. Screws falling out of the frame on the left side so it doesn't recline anymore. Sad that it didn't even last a year!
