Lovely shelf! We have it set up behind our sofa for some added storage. Out of the box could tell it was made of solid wood given the strong smell, it settled nicely overtime and is no longer an overpowering scent. Great looking piece overall, easy assembly with two people.

Very solid piece and looks great. It must have been awhile since I've ordered "real" wood furniture because I can't believe what a difference it makes in terms of quality (and it smelled great as I unboxed the pieces). No issues assembling--just needed to pay close attention to the directions.
