I ordered 2 of these bookcases after having to cancel my original order for a different brand that was repeatedly delayed and then back-ordered. After waiting 5 weeks for THIS order to show up, the "white glove delivery" dumped the packages in the middle of my living room and left. No packing slip or invoice, no waiting for me to open the boxes and inspect the bookcases. That is unfortunate because aside from them absolutely REEKING of varnish, to the point I had to open windows, both bookcases had their shelves either nailed or glued to the finished wood with chunks of scrap wood. I have no idea WHY someone would mar freshly finished wood this way. Nor do I know how I am expected to remove the wood scraps and free the shelves without damaging the bookcases in the process. The order was also shorted me on shelf pegs, meaning two shelves could not be installed, once freed from their wood block prison. I paid $1,200.00 for them expressly so that I could get fully assembled, ready to use furniture, not THIS nonsense. Wayfair customer service said they would have a repair man contact me about fixing this screw-up, although I will have to wait 3-5 days just to get an APPOINTMENT with them. Who knows when they'll actually show up? I will update this review after I see the results of their work. All in all this has been an expensive, annoying, time-consuming cluster of a purchase and delivery. This is not my first order from Wayfair, but I suspect it will be my last. UPDATE: My nephew came over and was able to pull the wood blocks off for me. Repair service waited 8 days to call me, but by then the problem was resolved by me. I bought temporary shelf pegs from a big box store to get me by so I could actually use the shelves of both bookcases. Wayfair did finally send me the proper shelf pegs 2 weeks later. The bookcases ARE beautiful, but nearly every purchase from Wayfair entails some kind of drama. If you're willing to take the chance, you MIGHT get the furniture you were hoping for.
