This item arrived in one large box. It does require assembly of the back and arms as well as the legs. Assembly was fairly quick with two people. All parts are solid and very heavy. The item is constructed very well and once assemble, it will take a minimum of two people, even three to lift the item as it is a solid build. I included pictures up close of the product to give you better detail of how it was made, and how well and durable it is versus manufacturer pictures of a distance. The item is an elegant piece and probably only good for certain types of rooms. I highly recommend the product and would purchase again.
