2nd Update after being told by Wayfair again they would send a replacement top with the attached electrical box, they just sent the electrical box again. This one only has two wires, so I guess that’s good, but that doesn’t solve the problem…The top is still damaged since we couldn’t tell it was screwed in and had no instructions on how to replace the box. I reached out to Wayfair again and was told they would send a whole new bookcase, but I have to repackage this one and send it back. What a pain this has been. I will update my review again afterif we receive it. Update I elevated my request to Wayfair and was told they would send a replacement top with the box attached. We only received the electrical box with no instructions on how to replace it. It also has 3 wires coming out of it, and the box in the top only has 2 wires. We tried removing the box, not realizing it was screwed in, you cannot see the screws at all, only tape on the underside, it ruined the top piece of the bookcase. When we received the bookcase one of the wires for the lights was not connected to the control box. It’s the wire that goes between the control box and the power cord so we cannot use the lights. We tried to reinsert the wire but were unable to because it’s permanently attached to the top piece of the bookcase. The manufacturer offered to send a new electrical box. I explained that wouldn’t work because of the way it’s attached and we cannot remove the broken box. They sent a new electrical box only, not the entire top with a new control box attached. We have no way to remove the old box without ruining the top of this cheap bookcase. This bookcase is very cheaply made with cheap hardware. It’s wobbly because the cheap hardware won’t stay tight. Additionally there was a chip in the particle board. I cannot recommend this bookcase nor this manufacturer.

Huge 55 inch well-made high-quality 10 cube bookcase. Much larger than expected with so much room. Comes with all the hardware and tools necessary for assembly. I definitely recommend two people for this project. The lights underneath the cabinet were not working, but Wayfair took care of the problem immediately, and waiting on the replacement part. This is a beautiful piece and highly recommended. **** The replacement lights were delivered as promised, and the bookcase is more beautiful than eve!

You can’t go wrong with this bookcase. I like the different size compartments and the motion sensor lights! The lights were already attached and it even has a plug on the top of the bookcase so you can plug in a lamp or phone. It was a bit difficult to assemble as some pictures are confusing. I eventually figured it out. The material is sturdy enough to have this last multiple years.

I got this bookcase to store board games in our bonus room. It is actually larger than I expected. There are a variety of shelf sizes so it should work well for our purposes. I would have given it five stars if one board didn’t have water damage on it when it arrived. I didn’t pay attention to the fact the shelves are lit or that the unit has charging ports on it but I guess that is an added bonus. Overall, I’m looking forward to getting our bonus room organized and am happy with this purchase!

Arrived in a pretty damaged box. We were hoping it didn’t have damage to the pieces but unfortunately that’s not the case. And there’s a portion of the blue lights already inoperable. However, Wayfair is already working on resolving these issues. This being said it’s a nice shallow bookshelf. I needed something for my smaller office space to hold all my knickknacks and career swag and this worked perfectly. The cubbies are big enough to hold college text books but not deep enough for a D3-Ring Binder. But the black color is truly black and the framing around the front makes it look classy. I wish they hadn’t made the lighting panel white on the top, but the touch pad and motion sensor features are nice! And while it was fairly easy to assemble it didn’t come with any covers for the locking screws.
