I really like the table - the size, the look, the color, and especially the fact that it comes as one solid piece with no assembly required. Unfortunately, there is a significant safety issue. The table is extremely lightweight and can easily be moved by one person, which makes me question whether the base is hollow rather than solid wood. Because of the weight and the shape of the base, which has no corner supports, it tips over very easily. I was sitting on the floor and used the table for support while trying to stand up, and it almost flipped over on me. On another occasion, my husband put his feet up on one of the corners, and the entire table tipped, sending everything on it, including a full cup of coffee, flying. Unfortunately, this one will need to be replaced ASAP. Thankfully, we don't have young children in the home, because I would not feel comfortable having this table around children at all. It's a beautiful table, but the stability issue is a serious safety concern.
