Well made, but top is difficult to lift off.

It’s a nice piece, very sturdy but don’t count on using the top as a tray. As other reviews have mentioned there’s no way to get the top off without damaging it.

It is advertised that these ottomans have storage: they do not. The TWO ottomans I received are completely shut and unable to have the top removed. Complete waste of money and totally unacceptable

I love the look, feel, and color! However, the lid is extremely hard to remove in order to use the tray. It can be used as a footstool or a tray but not both since it gets stuck. I recommend installing pull tabs on each side to help lift the lid. I tried attaching heavy string to help and it doesn’t help. I was going to order a second cube, but changed my mind.
