These chairs are OK, but I certainly can't give them the super-enthusiastic endorsement that some other reviewers did. They are NOT difficult to put together: the instructions are clear that the chair should be loosely assembled and then firmly dropped repeatedly from 50cm height so that it "settles" properly prior to final tightening of bolts. One plus is that the bolts thread into a metal sleeve which is more secure than some other chairs that have screws going into only wood on the legs. The frame is slightly "flexy" according to my husband - not that we notice this in sitting on the chairs, but they are not a super-strong design. They are fairly comfortable. My husband and I think the backrest should be a little deeper and possibly slightly more tilted, but many of our guests remark on the comfort of the chairs. We ordered 12 and have assembled 8. Several of them have fabric that is not properly-taught and shows slack wrinkles after someone gets off the chair (which sometimes dissipates and other times lasts for hours). The colour contrast where the backrests are spliced together from different pieces of wood is much stronger than was visible in the images. The finish of the chairs has several slightly-rough or imperfect spots (not visible but noticeable when you touch them). It's not terrible, but it's very inconsistently finished and typical of the sort of quality that you would see in items that did not pass final inspection and are being sold as "seconds". Overall, these chairs are OK and they are not worth returning. We think/hope they will last ok over the years. But they are nothing fantastic.. Shannon. Russell, MB. 2019-03-11 07:25:47
