UPDATE Wayfair handled our issue quickly and professionally. There are higher quality brands out there but this desk is still quite good.
Still up in the air whether this will be a 5 star or 1 star review. Desk arrived very well packed but I didn't get the delivery I was promised from the sales rep who called us to try and get the sale. We were going back and forth between this desk on Wayfair and a different desk through another company that included white glove delivery (placed in room of choice and assembled). The sales rep told me she would offer the same and meet or beat the price of the other which was also a solid wood desk. The assembly is not difficult IF the pieces line up which ours do not. It comes in one large box and 5 pieces. The desk section, the return pedestal, the return drawer, the return back panel and the return desk top. The center section on ours is twisted and will not line up on both sides. If the front lines up then the other side will not. The desk section top also stops the return from lifting any higher to line it up. Our floor is level and even if it weren't you can adjust the feet. I spoke to Wayfair on Thursday and am waiting to hear back from the manufacturer which is Riverside. They have 2 business days to do so otherwise Wayfair will step in to correct the issue. To solve the issue I would recommend the manufacturer ship just 2 pieces being the desk and the return fully assembled. My last wooden L-Shaped desk came that way and was a breeze to separate with 3 bolts if needing to move it. It lasted 20 years! No idea if this desk will do the same.
