This is absolutely wonderful as a guest room queen bed platform. You will most certainly want to put a decent topper or mattress on top but it provides a very study solid and good looking queen-sized bed platform that is 17.5 inches high. As far as the sofa, it is perfectly fine for what it is - a convertible sleeper/sofa. In other words, it is not the comfiest sofa you will ever sit on (it is VERY firm on the seat) but your sleep-over guests will thank you for a decent nights sleep on this as opposed to the notoriously uncomfortable and short pull-out sofa beds. This is a proper queen size. The colour I ordered is Velvet silver, which it shows on the sofa in the photo, and it is slightly lighter than the screen shows - a true silver colour. There were some issues with the screws and instructions provided but Wayfair was exceptional at resolving these issues. All in all, I am satisfied.. Emily. Toronto, ON. Thu Jan 24 2019
