Extreme dissatisfaction with a recent order I received. As an Interior Designer and Architect working on high-end residential and commercial projects, I can confidently say the quality of this piece is unacceptable in every way and would never be approved for a residential professional project setting. Specifically, I have noted the following issues: - Fabric Quality: The material is very low quality and does not match the representation on your website. - Cushions: They are significantly underfilled and do not look as portrayed online. Furthermore, the cushions and the base are noticeably different shades. - Craftsmanship: There is poor stitching with loose threads on the side pillows, and the overall construction feels cheap. - Design Flaws: There are visible casters protruding from the front of the piece. The seat cushions never fully inflated. I put in for replacement parts (with photos showing the issue) and was first sent an email saying they’d be shipped to me. Then I was sent an email saying actually we’ll just send you a whole new couch and you can dispose of the original defective one. Then I was sent an email saying my order for the replacement was canceled. That email had ZERO information for how the issue would then be fixed. I got on customer service chat and after over an hour of back and forth (and several canned responses that I suspect were just copy pasted), I was informed by this agent that the couch was back ordered and I could just get a full refund instead of replacement. I agree and am then asked how many boxes I plan to use to return it. I try to explain that the couch is not going to fix back into the boxes they were vacuum sealed and placed into as they’re boneless. After even more back and forth about this issue, I’m told they have a “special exception team” who will just come in a 1-2 days and pick up the couch, no box or label required. Then I would get my refund. Ok fine. But then I get an email about this “return” and the email says this special exception tea m will DECIDE in 1-2 business days whether they can refund me without having to return it. And then includes a set of instructions on how to pack it into a box for return if I still need to. So given that this was a wildly different story than what I was told by this chat agent, I ask for their manager to call me and provide more clarity on how I’m to get my refund. I’m then told they’re chat agents only and need to call customer service myself. So I call customer service and luckily had a wonderful person assist me. Apparently the chat agent put into the return ticket that the couch was too heavy for me, which I never said. I said I dont have an EIGHTY INCH cardboard box to put this in, nor do I have a way to vacuum seal this back down to get it into a smaller box. I explained this to the phone agent and she clarified I will not have to return it but will have to wait for official confirmation from the special exception team on that before my refund is processed. The phone agent was fantastic she was able to provide all information and truly assist. All in all, though, the item was defective and 99.99 of the customer service was a complete clown show.
