I have 4 cats so I was really hoping they would love this cat tree. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. They were into it for about an hour after I built it but haven’t been on it since. On a positive note it was pretty easy to assemble. Only took about 30 minutes start to finish. It’s so much bigger than what appears in the picture. This is huge!!! And it’s pretty stable once you secure it to the ceiling. But the cats seemed timid because the wood is slippery and they were not able to get their claws to grip anything. The design was not well thought out. Safety was not a priority in this case. I may get some carpet and glue it to the wood so they will feel more secure and might use it more.

So I have had my eye on one of these floor to ceiling cat trees for awhile and was happy to see one that had a cute look and a low floor profile so it wasn’t super bulky. The installation itself was straightforward for what it is. You don’t need to drill anything into the ceiling, the sturdiness is achieved through tension at the top. But the cats don’t use it and it’s because there are design flaws! There’s no way for the cat to hop up unless they shimmy themselves up the pole which cats don’t do. Other similar items will have little wooden pieces or pseudo steps up the center for this reason, but this one does not. The level with the clear space bowl is not sturdy because they didn’t reinforce the wood but cut a huge circle to accommodate the bowl, making it bounce with just slight pressure. There is no perch or way for the cats to hop up, no matter how I’ve arranged it. So if I were to keep this, I will need to get cat stairs to install to the wall, but for now it’s just a very clunky piece of cat furniture that not one cat has gotten on in the weeks I’ve had it, despite their history of loving perches and high kitty condos. This was a fail here.

I gave this cat perch 4 stars solely because it’s a tad small for an average size cat. Other than that, it’s really nice. The suction cups are heavy duty, the overall structure is secure, the scratchers seem like they’ll hold up well to lots of scratch time, and the overall aesthetic is very pretty and visually pleasing for any decor type. This took about 30 minutes to assemble and my cat absolutely loves climbing it and playing on it.
