Soft and comes ready to plug in. No adjestments or heat settings to worry about. Very low heat so warm but never hot. My hairless kitten climbed right in and now its home :)

I ordered the Heated Kitty Cabin and it was easy, simple set up...came straight out of the box. We have two adult cats so only one cat fits in the cabin at a time. The cats do not use it a lot but they do enjoy taking naps in there from time to time. The cabin is soft, portable, and plugs right into the wall. I just wish the cord was longer and the cabin would heat up a bit more because I think our cats like more heat. Other than that I think they like the warmth and softness. I just wish it was big enough for 2 cats to sleep in it at one time. Also, I wish they had better color choices. Overall, good product for the price its just that our cats like more heat.

I actually got this for my miniature dachshund (about 10lbs) to keep her warm at home while I am at work. Saves on heating the whole house!

We had to build a wood platform to put over it so the other cat wouldn't make it collapse with the other cat in it.

One of our cats loves this bed, with or without the heating element. She's about 7lbs. The other cat (just over 10lbs) can't fit through the opening to get inside. This is unfortunate since she is the one with arthritis and could benefit from the heating most. Neither cat will use it when it is crushed down as the pictures show. I ended up taking the heating element and padding out of the bottom of it and just wrapping a towel around for my cats to use it on the floor. The heating element works as advertised - stays warmish when cat is not lying on it and kicks up the heat when cat lies down.
