Love this thing! We do not have a dog, but we do use this for our children (wagon, bikes, stroller, the list is endless) and it is awesome. We have tested it after a day of hiking, going to the beach and countless trips to the park and grocery store and it has held up, and more importantly protected my car fabulously! Highly recommend. We just use the tie backs to anchor it to the head rests so things don’t slide around too much and without a dog it is all we need. It is totally waterproof - tested after a mishap with a bubble wand so that was a nice surprise at how well it worked
