[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I absolutely would consider placing dog food into these containers, I really wanted to test their abilities, so I placed some of my pantry staples into these buckets. The buckets and food contents survived the dogs (who very much enjoy getting into people food every opportunity they have). Once the initial curiosity of the buckets wore off, they actually left the buckets alone completely. The buckets also did well at sealing out pests and moisture. The only downfall for design I potentially see an issue with is the handle. At the end of the day, this size of pet food storage container is simply a food safe 5 gallon bucket with the stereotypical wire handle that has a plastic piece. My very first dog was obsessed with chewing that plastic piece off every 5 gallon bucket she could get ahold of. For something marketed toward dogs specifically, that seems like something that has room for improvement. As far as value goes, this specific pack is 2 5 gallon buckets with gamma lids. I’m not sure if I would buy this specific size knowing that information. However they make larger and smaller sizes of these containers that look more like actual dog food containers and I absolutely would consider those sizes.
