The pet pan is made solid, but be weary if your dog is an escape artist like ours, he is easily able to jump over the top, although we never anticipated it. A top would be required for the dog pen in order to prevent that. (Our dog is a 3 month old husky, still little but with springs in his legs!)

Purchased two of these. Quality is good for price. One of the orders had one panel damaged but box was in great shape so it is a manufacturedprocessing issue. Overall, I think this is good however if your puppy may be prone to climbing you may want to buy one of these units that is taller in size as my puppy was able to climb out on her own.
