This is an awesome cat scratcher and definitely lures my cats away from the sofa! It's big enough for my large cats to curl up atop while being super fun for the younger cats, too. My only complaint is that the base isn't heavy enough to keep down when cats are actively playing (particularly, more than one cat). So, it has been tipped over and often thumps when cats are using. Other than that, a really great buy!

putting together is no issue. My cat is very picky and it takes her a long time to use anything that is new. She sits on top and is beginning to realize it might something she may want to scratch!!
