It's a little bigger than I wanted but my bird loves it

Love the look and easy to put together BUT there seems to be a flaw in the design (or else my product was just defective) in that one of the feeders does not sit securely. It has to do with a tab on the molded plastic bottom which is there to secure the wire cage in place. This tab is in the way of the feeder and prevents it from being secure and level. This design would present a worrisome wobbly insecurity for my bird. Had to return.

I like the design and the space provided for the parakeet. However I do have one concern. The wire bar spacing is 5/8" which is 1/8" wider than recommended for a parakeet cage (1/2"). Is it a typo in the ad or am I concerned for nothing?

The cage was bought as a replacement for the same model that is many years old. While the metal structure was good, some of the end bends where the cage fits into the bottom were not properly sized. This meant we had to reshape them so it would fit into the bottom. In addition the long perch was bowed and cracked and the short perches were useless because the grooves in the ends were not properly aligned. I had to use the old perches from her original old cage. For the price I expected better.
