Pros: - The scratcher surfaces are nice, and my cats find them appealing. - It's cute! It's not anything super attractive, but it also isn't an eye sore like some cat accessories are. It's cute. - It is more than just a scratcher - it has sisal rope on the ladder, a sisal ball (the cats love that ball), and the little platform on top makes for a nice perch (they hang upside down from it to play with the ball) - It does indeed fold flat and store easily! - Easy to clean - Does not require tools to put together Cons: - It does not come with instructions on how to put it together - it may not require tools, but apparently it requires a PhD... or someone smarter than me. The triangle part of it was easy and obvious. The platform, not so much. It took me over an hour of studying photos on Wayfair before I figured out how to get that platform attached. A simple diagram included with the packaging would have worked wonders. - The edges of the wood are unfinished, see attached photo. This feels like it is a splinter waiting to happen when I pick this up to move it or store it. - The wood for the platform is not very thick. The product says it supports cats up to 50 pounds, but when my 11 pound kitten sits on the platform it bends heavily (see picture). Overall, I think this is a great design. I think it would have been better if finished wood had been used, and a simple diagram had been provided for how the pieces fit together.
