It took some time to put together, but my cat absolutely loves it!

I found that if I wanted any cat shelves to be in a darker colored wood then they were going to be a lot more expensive, so I decided to find shelves with a light wood that I could stain myself. I think it turned out super cute! The cats love it and it is functional. Due to space issues, I decided I was unable to attach the bridge between two of the shelves, but I think it still looks good— I also assume that feature isn’t the most functional anyhow, and that it’s more for a cute design. I did initially try to include it, however, when I attempted to tie it, the rope stated to unravel. I suppose re-twisting it and glueing the ends could fix this, but it’s weird that it wasn't done in the first place. Another con is that the kittens can climb up the tower, but they are unable to climb back down due to the second shelf being too small—and to reiterate, they’re still kittens! Since I removed the bridge, though, they are able to jump from that platform down to the lowest platform on the tower, allowing them to get down on their own. I also liked the hardware for the most part, but I did use toggle bolts to secure the shelves into the wall instead of the cheaper plastic options that were provides. Otherwise, this was really quality and easy to build!
