I have two 12 pound 1-year old cats, and I bought this thinking one would sleep on top and one would sleep in the basket. Of course they tussle over who gets the top and neither uses the basket at all. Only once I've seen them sleeping on the top together, so it will fit both. I took away one star because the tree is not as sturdy as I hoped. It's well made and was easy to assemble, but it sways a bit since everything is balanced on the single tree trunk, despite tightening as much as we could. I put a small plastic bin full of landscape rocks on the base to counterbalance so it doesn't sway too far or tip over when a cat leaps onto it. The mid range height is perfect for placement behind our sofa, so it doesn't block the view of the TV from the kitchen. The top level is very soft and both cats love to stretch out and sleep there. I did not attach the large fluffy ball, because it contains a rather annoying rattle. Overall this is nice, but definitely for 1-2 cats that aren't too big. I think the listing said 3 cats up to 22 pounds each, but that doesn't seem realistic in my opinion. It's a good looking cat tree that blends into the decor better than some others.

This is a beautiful sturdy cat tree!! The only downside was when my 2 month old kitten started chewing on the wicker basket I had to improvise add a cover over it 1010

This cat tree is exactly as described and even better! This is solid wood, very sturdy, and the cats couldn’t wait to get on it. I expect it will get lots of use between our 3 cats.
