I have a large doorway that Ive been wanting to block off, but its so wide Ive struggled to find a good solution. This gate is perfect! It is sturdy, no problems with wobbling or falling. The latch system is super easy to use, and it has a latch at the top and bottom, although we usually just use the top.

Love this gate to keep out the cats from the room. The set easy to set up and very stable even though my ceiling is high.

Good for keeping the cats out of the entry way so I can leave. The instructions were not super helpful but it’s not that hard to figure out how to put it together. It took me about 45 min to install it.

If you have popcorn ceilings, then you'll encounter the same issue my father and I happened across- the supports don't work. They're flat plastic with a few millimeters of the strongest steel this side of the pacific wedged between. How do I know about the steel? We had to drill through it to screw the supports into the ceiling. We broke 5 drill bits getting through it. I'm confident the supports are bulletproof, so at least no one's shooting them off the ceiling. Seeing as the bottoms are sliding across the carpet like a figure skater going for gold, we may have to drill into the floor too. More drill bits will be sacrificed to this metal abomination. Additionally, the supports have these 4 or 5 inch screws that, rather than screwing into the pole, just drop right into the pole. They will fall off if you move the gate around, especially as you're building it. Thankfully, my mother was in the Navy so I knew every colorful word to use as we constructed this wobbly beast. The instruction sheet left a lot to be desired. We were lost in the wildness of metal rods and bars, with supports that mocked us as they rained popcorn ceiling down on us like snow before they slid off entirely. I will say, to the instruction sheet's credit, the part where it says "this part is difficult" in terms of clipping the gate and extender gate together is entirely accurate. Those clips do not want to do their job; they're free spirits. Your fingers will hate you as they struggle to wrestle the gates together. The clips flew from my hands multiple times, like doves from a cage, only to dive-bomb directly onto my poor father's bald head. At long last, the gate was built. It certainly keeps the cats (and dogs!) separate from each other, and the gaps between gate rods aren't wide enough for a cat to fold itself through. I'm not confident the dog won't eventually throw his 80 lb self at the gate and send it and chunks of ceiling crashing to the floor, but that's an "us" problem, not a "gate" problem. Overall, 3/5.
