Just what I needed . I used mid way down on a stair way. It blends in nicely with the rest of my decor

i like its sturdy and not wood

1. One thing that is not clear about this product is that you need to drill holes in order to install it, unlike traditional gates. Perhaps this is something that you'd know if you know things, but I am a novice consumer and thus explaining this in the product description would have been helpful. 2. The first product that arrived came broken and thus I needed to be sent a replacement. It was broken because it did not properly retract. I ordered 2 at the same time, and only one was broken. I made several attempts to remediate the issue, but it remained an issue and had to be sent a replacement. 3. After 2 weeks of use, the plastic hook broke. It no longer secures at the base, which renders this gate useless - and the holes already drilled. Overall, I am not please with this purchase nor product. I like the concept design, but in practice, it is insufficent.

Seems nicely built and sturdy

Works perfectly to section off an area for the dogs. Looks nice in the environment. Easy to install and seems sturdy
