Hamster chewed holes right through the wood withon a week. Maybe not good for a hamster. Otherwise cute little home for a pet with no teeth.

Would not recommend for hamsters! The bottom tray is a chewing nightmare! within 2 nights my hamster had it chewed down into a dip. WE had to go buy aluminum to put over the top as it was becoming a hazard for it. Also could pull up the matting on the middle layer and was chewing on that as well. Wish I could have sent it back but with that much damage in 2 days and already put together that wasn't happening.
