I foster cats for our local Humane Society. A lot of times the kittens are in need of special care and a heating pad is needed. The heating pad is a good size for this because it’s big enough to cover almost the whole bottom of one of their kennels. This keeps the kittens on the heat where they can’t get off for the most part. The cord looks like it will work well since they have some wiring around it. Since I just got it and I don’t have any small sick kittens I haven’t been able to actually try it out yet. It does have a high and low and should work perfectly fine. Also, the fabric looks like it will withstand little claw marks.

I cover it over with my kitty's favorite blanket and it works wonderful.

You only get a hi or lo setting. Lo was too low and hi was way too hot. There is also no turn off timer so it stays on forever until you turn it off. It is waterproof which is good but it makes a crinkly sound and is stiff so our cat doesn’t like the noise and won’t lay on it. I plan to return it if I can and look for a softer version that is multi temp and turn-off. Also soft. I really wanted this to work.
