Even though the piece looks great and is very similar to the photos, it does not meet expectations.
As I began assembling it (Step 2), I noticed that one of the base/foundation panels was warped. As a result, the entire unit is crooked. There are gaps around the furniture, and the hardware is clearly visible through them. I’ve assembled plenty of furniture and I’m used to minor alignment issues with low- to mid-quality items, but this one is by far the worst. No doubt.
The unit is somewhat solid and holds together (I followed every step carefully), but it’s extremely disappointing to have waited so long for this hidden litter box enclosure only to end up with such poor quality.
And let’s not forget the delivery and support experience: it took about a month to arrive, and it was nearly impossible to contact anyone online. The phone number provided for delivery instructions and package tracking doesn’t work, and there were no other options besides calling Wayfair customer support and navigating the system. Fortunately, once I reached support, I was offered good solutions right away—but even after receiving the item, it’s still impossible to reach an online agent, and the phone number/business hours information remains incorrect. Once again, I’ll have to figure out the best way to get support. Hopefully it will be as efficient as the replacement process.
Yes, it’s cute and it serves its main purpose. But the customer service experience and the poor build quality ruin it.
