I thought this would be a little cushier, but it's not. It's a thin fleece material on top, a thin heat reflective material pad that is removable and then a different material that mimics the grippers on socks underneath. So, the cats basically only have a thin piece of fabric between them and whatever this is laying on. It is zippered and the size of a pillow so maybe it was meant to put over a pillow or piece of foam? Plus, there is a crinkly sound. I personally do not like this and my cats do not use it. It might feel like it'd be a lot more comfortable if it was placed on the couch instead of the table as I needed. It's not bad and I will find a way to use it for its purpose, I just thought it would be fluffier/plush to be able to use on harder surfaces.

I was skeptical at first but our cat actually loves it. Uses it all the time for napping.
