This interactive scratching toy and cat scratcher is very cute and well made. The bat does turn and makes noise for them to play with. Unfortunately, my cats don’t use it much, I think they prefer a cat scratcher that is vertical.

Right now I think my kitten is a little young for this scratch toy but Im sure he is going to love it soon. Where he is so small I decided to lay it down because standing up I was afraid it would fall on him. When I gave the bat a spin he was very interested

Although they show this standing on its end, it’s not very safe that way. It has a bolt that keeps it together on each end and that prevents it from having a sturdy base. The bat has something on the inside that when rolling makes a rattling sound maybe something like tiny marbles. The ball is stationary. My cat looked at it and then basically walked away. He likes to stretch up to scratch at things and this just lays on the floor and then the bat rotates so he won’t be able to get a good grip to claw at it. It’s cute but not functional for my goofy big cat. Ideal for kittens that aren’t set in their way yet!
