I bought this for my dog but it was so comfy that my cat took it first! I have been looking for a nice couch style bed for my dog that was stylish but also supportive. Many that I've seen have polyfill or shredded foam filling, which never last very long and are not supportive enough for my senior dog. This couch is definitely very firm out of the box. I imagine it will soften up a bit with use which will make the density perfect. Time will tell how it holds up but on first impression, everything is very high quality and comfortable for the pets to sleep on. All four additional throw pillows are just as well made and have a removable cover, which is a nice touch. The fabric itself is very smooth and semi water repellent. Four wooden legs are included, but I opted to leave them off so the height was easier for my dog to get on/off.
