Cute coop. Smells nice. We like the size, the material of wood, and that it has 3 nesting boxes. Took us a few hours to assemble. Instructions are small and vague. Only pictures that are not well orientated to understand. Some pieces are labeled the same number, but clearly have different pilot holes. Do not like the placement of the wheels, they make the back of the run lift up 1-2 inches off of the ground, rather than flush all around. Some screws did not bite all the way through the roof pieces, had to use others from my home stash. Had to add some extra steps to the ladder as our pullets are slipping about and cannot climb to the top. Had to add a roosting bar inside the coop itself. Seems a bit obvious, but this design didn't come with anything over the slide out tray. I understand it needs ventilation, but the windows don't have any means to close them up when winter comes. We might make some shutters. Hinges are flimsy, we will be replacing. The Ramp right in front of the only door to access the run is also annoying, may get a removable hinge. This hinge may not hold the weight of a chicken or two. Compared to all the other reviews and coops, I'd say it's pretty much par for the course to have to shore up your coop during assembly. So don't let this deter you much, just be aware. Update: Added another roosting bar in the run area as the birds need places to camp. We have 4. The latch on the door to the unit has already broken and needs replacing.

Came in broke. pieces of the coop we’re just laying in the box and I have no idea where they go. The lying box will not stay together

The coop is okay as far as what it’s for. Material seems/feels cheap. Some pieces were broken and some screws were not long enough. Paid too much.

I really like the design and size of this coop for seven silkie bantams to brood in until they’re mature enough to join my older hens. I’ve bought these kits before and know they are flimsy temporary huts at best. I’m really trying to make it last at least a full year so I spent about 159 more at the hardware to reinforce this coop so it could withstand some moderate weather. It took about an extra two weeks to completely caulk every crevice and joint, paint every exterior surface and let it dry. (I painted it black only cuz I had lots of it already lying around). I reinforced the run with extra hardware and joints. I added a clear polycarbonate roof over the run as silkies don’t like being wet. I bought this lightweight corrugated asphalt roofing for the roof and the top of the nesting box as I don’t trust the original design at all (it doesn’t hang over the windows and doors far enough to prevent rain from getting in. Overall nice size and design, but take your time and reinforce this thing if you plan on putting outside for any length of time.

The coop is sturdy enough and easy to put together. The wheels are large and easy to roll. Spacious enough for my 5 chickens. The run is small and needs access from the top. I am going to add hinges on the top and add an additional run.

This coop was bought as a temporary solution until we could get a custom coop made for our 6 chickens. I only planned to use the coop and not the actual run. The coop itself is cheaply made, held together with wood glue and staples mainly. I ended up staining it with waterproof stain to help protect it. I don’t think it would be predictor proof on its own— luckily we are putting it into our run with is built like a fortress.

Fairly easy to assemble and is really cute! I fear that it won’t hold up to Tempe Texas elements well, but only time will tell.

Don’t waste your money!! The nesting box part leaks horrible… the wood is thin and very cheap! I now have wet cold silkie chicks..
