I put this out in the morning and caught my first squirrel by the afternoon. I’ve tried tunnel traps, but smaller rodents seem to be stealing the bait without triggering them. The main issue with the squirrelinator for me is disposal. The cage is too big (2’x2’) to submerge in a bin, so I had to drive it to a nature preserve several miles away and release the animal, which is not considered humane, as they will likely starve outside of their territory. Also, relocating squirrels is illegal in some states, though not in mine. We really liked it, and the delivery was convenient since the courier left it right at our door, even though we live in an apartment building. Just fill it with peanuts and put it where the squirrels hang out and you will trap them easily. I have attached a plywood sheet to the bottom so the squirrels can’t dig under it to reach the peanuts. Also, put something heavy on top of it because the squirrels may try to move it to get the peanuts. I have relocated 13 squirrels from my yard in 2 months.
