This is a great piece! It's well constructed, very sturdy, and the finishes are a nice quality. Our order arrived almost a week ahead of the initial ETA on the order, which was a pleasant surprise. All of the included pieces were present, all of the pre-drilled holes were correct, and the instructions were easy to follow. The assembly process is lengthy, but painless, and the finished piece looks nice.
If you are considering ordering this, here are some things to know:
It arrives in one unbelievably compact box; the box weighs around 80 lbs, so needs two people to carry it once it arrives (and move it once it's assembled).
The box contains approximately one billion structural pieces and hardware pieces. Fortunately, they are all clearly labeled and an inventory is provided on the first page of the instructions so that you can make sure everything is there before you start.
It took approximately 3 hours to assemble from start to finish, working by myself. If you have two people, have one person start working on the drawer assembly (steps 10 - 12) while the other builds the main structure.
The kit contains an allen wrench. You will need to provide a Phillips screwdriver for the rest; a drill is VERY helpful given the number of screws to fasten. For step 9, fastening the top shelf, a short screwdriver (less than 5" long) or racheting screwdriver is helpful. You will need a drill to set the wall anchor for the safety strap.
